On older iPads (iPad 9, 10.2”, Galaxy Tab A) the front glass and the LCD are separate parts — if only the glass is cracked, we can swap just that and save you about 30%. On all iPad Pro / Air / mini and newer Galaxy Tab S models the two are bonded at the factory and the only option is to replace them together. The ‘Digitiser’ column in the pricing table tells you which yours is.
Yes — on every iPad screen repair we do. Cheap aftermarket digitisers don't carry the right driver chip and Apple Pencil stops registering. We use spec-matched panels that preserve full Pencil functionality, including pressure sensitivity and palm rejection.
Standard repairs (screen, battery, port, buttons) are free-diagnosis like everything else. The $65 only applies to liquid damage and board-level work where the inspection itself takes 1–2 hours under microscope. If you proceed with the repair, the $65 comes off the final price. If we can't fix it, the $65 is capped — that's all you pay.
Yes on iPad 5/6/7/8/9 and iPad Air 2/3 — we transfer the original Home button across to the new screen assembly, which preserves Touch ID. Apple's secure boot ties Touch ID to the specific Home button + logic board pair, so a brand-new button can never have Touch ID re-enabled. On models with Face ID (iPad Pro 2018+, iPad mini 6, iPad Air 4+) this doesn't apply.
Not for us. Surface Pro repairs are harder than iPad because the whole device is glued together rather than screwed — but with the right separation tools (heat plate, picks, plastic spudgers) it's doable. We do Surface Pro 6/7/8/9/10/11 screen replacements, battery, charging port, Type Cover connectors, and power-button board swaps. Pricing reflects the extra labour.
No — we don't wipe or reinstall unless you specifically ask for that. Screen / battery / port / button repairs leave your data completely untouched. For software jobs we always offer a data backup before reinstall. For liquid damage and board repair, data preservation is the priority — if your tablet won't boot, we recover everything possible first.

Went in today to get a screen protector put on my phone by Jacob. Cheap, fast, works with my fingerprint flawlessly. Great customer service. He even custom cut the screen protector to fit my phones hard cover ( so it doesn't get pushed off edges or bubble up). Highly recommend this place, will be returning for my future mobile phone needs.
