Liquid damage
Pool, toilet, beach, drink, washing machine, spilled coffee. We document corrosion, board damage and likely cause for your assessor.
Phone in the pool, laptop off the bench, tablet under the wheel of the car? If your home contents, travel, mobile or device-protection cover allows it, we can do the work as your nominated repairer — and we’ll write the damage assessment your insurer needs to approve the claim.
We write hundreds of insurance reports a year. Whatever happened to your device, it’s probably already on this list.
Pool, toilet, beach, drink, washing machine, spilled coffee. We document corrosion, board damage and likely cause for your assessor.
Phone under a car tyre, laptop off the desk, tablet folded shut on a Lego brick. Photographed, measured, written up.
Melted ports, burned circuits, swollen batteries, fire-affected devices. We test the surrounding hardware and call out what’s salvageable.
Texta on the laptop hinge, crayon on the iPad, the family dog vs. the AirPods. Standard claims, no judgement.
Botched screen by a shopping-centre kiosk, water-damaged device taped back together, dodgy aftermarket parts. We document what was done and what it costs.
Snatched-and-dropped phones, prised-open laptops, devices recovered after a break-in. Forensic-style report with serial check.
Tradie phones, delivery tablets, point-of-sale terminals. We invoice the business directly, with a single report per claim.
Sometimes the right call is to claim a replacement, not repair. We write a clear, defensible total-loss opinion when that’s the case.
Most claims come back approved within a few days. We’ll write a report that gives your insurer everything they need on the first read — no ‘please send more information’ emails.
Open a claim and get a claim number. Tell them you’d like to use Casemonkey as the repairer — almost every insurer allows it, and we’ll handle the rest.
Bring it to DFO Uni Hill, or use our prepaid satchel. Free diagnostics, no appointment needed for the assessment.
A PDF report with cause, parts, labour and quote, plus photographs on letterhead. Emailed to you and (if you want) to your insurer directly. Usually back inside an hour.
They’ll either pay us directly, or reimburse you after the repair. We can liaise with the assessor for you — just give us their contact and the claim number.
Once approved we order the parts and book the repair. Same 90-day warranty as a regular job.
Insurers reject vague quotes. Our assessment is the document they’re actually looking for — on letterhead, with an ABN, repairer accreditation, photographs, and a line-itemised quote.
Anything else, ring us on 03 9467 9694 — or tell us about your specific policy needs.
It covers our time to fully inspect the device, document the damage with photographs, write the insurer-ready PDF report, and email it to you and (if you want) your insurer. It’s flat — no matter the device, no matter how long it takes. The fee isn’t credited against a repair, but most insurers will reimburse it against the tax invoice we provide.
Yes — every major Australian insurer accepts an independent assessment from a registered repairer. We’ve been writing reports for AAMI, NRMA, Allianz, RACV, Suncorp, QBE and others since 2013. If yours isn’t on the list, we’ll still write the report and walk you through the claim until it’s done.
Rare, but it happens. Usually it’s a question about a specific line item. We’ll talk to the assessor directly, clarify what was needed and why, and re-issue the report if needed — no extra fee.
For the repair itself, often yes — with most major insurers we invoice them directly once they’ve approved the quote, and you only pay the policy excess. Some insurers prefer to reimburse you after the fact — we’ll tell you which path applies to your policy before you commit. The $85 assessment fee is always paid by you up front, but most insurers will cover it as part of the claim against the tax invoice we provide.
Drop-off at DFO Uni Hill is fastest. We also accept devices by post — we’ll send a prepaid satchel. Give us a call first — on a lot of claims we can guide you through the assessment over the phone with photo evidence, take payment online, and email the report without you needing to come in. Business / fleet customers can have us collect on-site.
Sometimes. If the excess is close to the repair cost, paying out of pocket might be the better call — no claim on record, no premium impact. We’ll always tell you honestly which way looks better once we see the device.
We’ll write a clear total-loss opinion so your insurer can pay out a replacement instead of a repair. Same $85 fee, same 1-hour turnaround.
