EVERY REPAIR & UPGRADE

If it’s a Dell desktop, it’s on our bench.

From a Dell that won’t power on to one that just needs more speed, here’s the lot we do — repair, upgrade and revive, a proper assessment first, and a straight answer before we start. Not sure what’s wrong? Bring it in, we’ll work it out for free.

Won’t power on

Dead at the button — no lights, no fans, nothing on screen. We work through the power supply, board and cabling to find what’s stopping it, and quote before any work.

Graphics card (GPU)

Add or upgrade a graphics card for games, editing or extra screens — fitted, tested and drivers sorted. Or a no-display card diagnosed if it’s the card that’s failed.

RAM upgrade

Slow with a few things open, or running short of memory. More RAM is the cheapest big speed-up there is — matched to your Dell’s board.

Front-panel & USB ports

A dead power button, or loose and broken USB ports on the front of the case. Repaired or replaced so everything works the way it should again.

Motherboard

A Dell board that won’t boot, or one with a failed port or component. Diagnosed properly, and taken to board level where that’s what it needs.

Storage (SSD / HDD / NVMe)

A faster NVMe or SSD, more space, or a dead disk. Fitted and your data moved across, so nothing’s left behind.

Power supply (PSU)

Nothing when you hit the button, random shutdowns, or a PSU that’s given up. Tested and replaced — with the correct Dell part where the fitting’s non-standard.

Cooling & dust-out

Running hot or loud. A full dust-out, fresh thermal paste on the chips, and a fan and heatsink check — air cooling, done right.

No POST / no display

Powers on but nothing reaches the screen. We work through the RAM, graphics card, power supply and board to find what’s stopping it booting.

Board-level

Dead after a surge, or a fault down at a single component. Board-level work by our specialists — more below.

Liquid / spill

A spill or a leak inside the case. Power it off, don’t switch it on — flat $65 assessment first.

Water damage

Windows / software & data

Crawling slow, boot-looping, a bad update, or a new drive to set up. We find the cause, then reinstall, clean up, move or recover your data.

Got more than a Dell in the house? We fix everything else too, across phones, tablets and consoles.

DELL DESKTOPS · REPAIRED & UPGRADED

We repair, upgrade and revive your Dell.

A Dell is a solid, pre-built machine — and there’s almost always life left in one. We fix the faults, swap the parts that count, and bring a tired Dell back up to speed. OptiPlex, Inspiron, Vostro, XPS or Alienware — graphics card, RAM, storage, power supply, cooling and ports, nothing’s off the table.

Repair it, upgrade it, revive it — we tell you what’s worth doing before we start, not after.

A five-year-old office OptiPlex or an Alienware gaming rig — same bench, same honest answer. Tell us what it’s doing, or what you want it to do, and we’ll sort it. Get a quote

THE DIFFERENCE · BOARD-LEVEL REPAIR

We go to board level.

This is the bit that sends most shops running. When a Dell won’t power on, shows no display, or goes dead after a surge, the usual line is ‘it’s finished, buy a new one’. Often it isn’t — it’s the power supply, the RAM, the graphics card, or one component on the motherboard that’s given up.

We diagnose it properly, and where the fault is down at the component we have the board-level work done by our board-level specialists. A dropped power rail, a shorted line after a surge — often fixable at the component, without replacing the whole board. And through all of it your drive and your data stay put.

A dead-looking Dell is usually one failed part, not a write-off. And your files never leave the machine.

Board-level work isn’t a same-day job — figure 1 to 3 days — and it’s no-fix-no-fee. If we can’t save it, you don’t pay for the attempt. Start a quote

UPGRADES · THE PARTS THAT COUNT

GPU, RAM, storage — the upgrades that count.

The parts that actually move the needle. A graphics card for games and editing, more RAM so nothing chokes, a quick NVMe drive in place of an old disk, and a stronger power supply to run it all. On plenty of Dells there’s real speed to gain.

One thing worth knowing: some Dell desktops use non-standard power supplies, form factors or board layouts, so a generic part won’t always drop straight in. We source the correct Dell part or a verified-compatible one — and we tell you which, before you spend, not after.

Fitted, cabled and tested, with the drivers sorted before it comes home. Get a quote

COOLING · A PROPER CLEAN

Running hot or loud? A proper clean.

A Dell that roars, runs hot, or throttles under load is usually choked with dust and running on dried-out thermal paste. A proper clean sorts it — and we run air cooling, set up the way it should be.

  • Full dust-out — the case, fans, heatsinks and filters cleared of the dust that’s been building up and trapping heat inside
  • Fresh thermal paste — the old, dried compound scraped off the CPU and graphics card and replaced, so heat actually moves off the chip
  • Fan & heatsink check — every case and cooler fan tested and replaced if it’s noisy or failing, for steady airflow through the machine

Air cooling, set up properly — quieter, cooler and no throttling. On an Alienware that shipped with a factory liquid cooler we service what’s there. Get a quote

DELL QUESTIONS

Straight answers.

Which Dell desktops do you work on?

All of them — OptiPlex, Vostro, Inspiron desktop, XPS desktop, and Alienware Aurora and other Alienware desktops. Business towers, home machines and gaming rigs alike. We repair the faults, fit the upgrades, and revive a tired Dell — same bench, same honest answer whichever one you’ve got.

Can you upgrade my Dell?

Yes — a new graphics card, more RAM, a faster NVMe or SSD, or a stronger power supply. We’ll check what your Dell’s board and power supply can actually take, tell you honestly what’s worth the money, and fit and test it before it goes back.

My Dell won’t turn on or shows no display — can you fix it?

Usually, yes. A Dell that won’t power on or shows no display is more often the power supply, the RAM, the graphics card, or the motherboard than a write-off. We work through each one to find the cause, and where the fault is down at the component we have the board-level work done by our specialists. Diagnosis is free, it’s no-fix-no-fee, and your drive and data stay put.

It runs hot and loud — what’s involved?

A dust-out and a re-paste, mostly. A Dell that runs hot and loud is usually choked with dust and running on dried thermal paste. We strip it down, clear the case, fans, heatsinks and filters, replace the paste on the CPU and graphics card, and check every fan for steady airflow. We run air cooling, done properly — quieter, cooler and no throttling.

What warranty do I get?

Every repair and upgrade carries a minimum 90-day warranty on the parts and our workmanship — longer on plenty of jobs. If something we fitted plays up in that window, bring it back and we’ll sort it. It’s all no-fix-no-fee too: if we can’t fix it, you don’t pay for the attempt.

My Dell uses non-standard parts — is that a problem?

Sometimes, and it’s no drama. Some Dell desktops use non-standard power supplies, form factors or motherboard layouts, so a generic part won’t always drop straight in. We source the correct Dell part or a verified-compatible one, and we tell you which before we fit anything — no surprises.
