Whatever's wrong with your console.

HDMI port snapped clean off. Joy-Cons drifting on their own. Sounds like a jet engine and dies after 20 minutes of Elden Ring. Disc drive won't spit. We work on every model from Switch Lite to PS5 Pro, with parts on the shelf and almost everything done on the bench.

ELEVEN THINGS WE DO MOST

Every console, every fault.

Each one diagnosed for free. Fixed price quote before we touch anything. Pay on pickup, 90-day warranty.

01
from $189

HDMI port replacement

No signal, distorted picture, port loose or snapped clean off. Board-side BGA rework — we replace the port, not the whole motherboard. PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One — all done in-house.

Stick drift & controller fixes

Joy-Con drift, DualSense drift, Xbox Series stick wandering on the menu. Replace the analog module (not the whole controller). Hall-effect upgrade option available — never drifts again.

Disc drive & reading errors

Discs won't load. Read errors mid-game. Spits out without trying. Grinding noise on insert. We swap the drive or service the laser pickup — and on PS5 we pair the new drive via the official Sony tool so DRM doesn't lock you out.

Overheating · deep clean + repaste

Fan ramps to jet-engine within 10 minutes. Console shuts off mid-game. Hot to the touch. Almost always a dust-clogged heatsink and dried-out thermal paste (especially launch-era PS5s and Xbox Series X). Cheap fix, transformational difference.

Switch & Steam Deck charging port

Won't charge. Charges at one angle only. Cable wiggles around inside. The USB-C port on Switch and Steam Deck is soldered to its own board — and unfortunately gets used as the docking connector too, so it wears fast.

from $109

Cooling fan replacement

It cleans, repastes, and still sounds like takeoff. Sometimes the fan bearing itself is shot — wobbles, rattles, screams. Swap the fan unit and you're back to a quiet console for years. OEM fans for PS5, PS4 Pro/Slim, Xbox Series X/S.

Power-on issues & standby fault

Blue light blinks. White light flashes. Beeps once and dies. PSU failure, power-IC short, or just a tripped safety mode. We diagnose on a bench supply to see exactly what's drawing current — fix the bit that's broken, not the whole console.

Handheld screen replacement

Cracked Switch screen. Steam Deck OLED with a chip out of the glass. Dead pixels across the Switch Lite display. OEM panels and glass-only kits for every Nintendo handheld and both Steam Deck models.

SSD / storage upgrade

PS5 with the not-enough-space popup every time you install a game. Steam Deck with the original 64GB eMMC and zero room. We fit a properly-spec'd NVMe (PS5) or 2230 NVMe (Steam Deck) and clone your existing data across.

Liquid damage & board repair

Drink spilled into the vents. Steam Deck taken to the beach. Switch dropped in the pool. Every hour matters — power it off, don't plug it in, bring it in. Ultrasonic clean, corrosion treatment, board-level rework where needed.

Software, accounts & reformat

Firmware reflash, safe-mode rescue, PIN and parental-control reset on owned consoles, account recovery, save-data backup and transfer. Often no parts needed — just the right tools and an hour.

HOUSE RULE

Board-level workshop. BGA rework. Microscope work. Proper kit.

Most shops swap the whole motherboard when an HDMI port snaps. We replace the port itself — board-side BGA rework, not whole-motherboard swap. Same goes for power ICs, capacitors, charge ICs. Fix what's broken, not the bit that isn't.

QUESTIONS WE GET A LOT

Common questions, plain answers.

If your question isn't here, send us a quick message — we'll usually come back within a couple of hours.

HDMI repair instead of new console — is it really worth it?

Almost every time. A snapped HDMI port on a PS5 is $180–$200 on our bench. A new PS5 is $800+. We do this fix multiple times a week — it's textbook board-level rework, not a coin-flip. Same logic for Xbox Series and PS4.

Will PS5 disc-drive replacement actually work?

Yes — including on PS5, which Sony designed with disc-drive pairing as a hardware-level lock. We have access to Sony's official pairing tool, so the new drive registers properly and DRM doesn't lock you out. Most other shops can't do this and end up just selling you a Digital console.

What about Hall-effect sticks for Joy-Cons?

Yes — Hall-effect stick modules use magnets instead of graphite contacts, so they don't wear out the same way. We offer them as an upgrade on Joy-Con / DualSense / Xbox controllers. Usually $20–$30 more per pair than a standard replacement, and they're rated for the life of the controller.

Is the warranty void after a third-party repair?

Console manufacturers technically void their own warranty on third-party repair, but most consoles we work on are out of warranty already. If yours is still in warranty (under 12 months on PS5, Xbox, or Switch), we'll tell you upfront — sometimes it's worth waiting for the manufacturer free repair (then post-warranty come back to us).

Will my saves and game library be safe?

Yes — save data preservation is priority on every job. We back up your saves and account data before opening the console, and verify it's all there before you collect. PS5 cloud saves, Xbox Cloud Save, Switch save-data transfer all done as standard.

Do you do liquid-metal repaste on PS5?

Yes, on request. Liquid-metal repaste gives 5–10°C better thermals than premium paste but voids the manufacturer warranty (which most PS5s are out of by now anyway). We do it with proper insulation around the die so it can't migrate. Comes with a disclaimer — we explain the risk before you commit.

My console makes a loud noise — fan or something worse?

Almost always the fan, almost always fixable for under $150 (clean + repaste, or fan unit swap). We do a 'quietness check' on every console before you collect — measured fan noise at idle and under load.

Can you fix Steam Deck and ROG Ally as well?

Yes. Steam Deck (LCD & OLED) and Steam Deck NVMe upgrades are common jobs for us. ROG Ally and Legion Go are newer but follow the same Windows-handheld repair pattern — joystick drift, screen replacement, charging port, fan clean. Same workflow as our PC laptop work.

The most honest, expert advices I’ve received today for my MacBook Pro and iPhone checkups. This store will not charge you for anything unless it is 100% necessary. I am both truly surprised, and at the same time, impressed. Easygoing, excellent and direct communication. Super fast services above expectations. Thank you kindly, especially Jacob for the assist during the visit.

Had a fantastic experience, I was told that multiple places my computer was unrepairable and the data on my computer was lost but they were able to recover it. I was charged a very reasonable fee and fixed in a reasonable time. The main technician Jacob was amazing to deal with thank you again.

These guys know what they are doing. . Smashed my Samsung back cover —lost reception and camera. Two shops said not worth fixing and I need to buy new phone. CaseMonkey repaired everything with genuine parts and a 1-year warranty. Added a tough case and screen protector—all for under a couple hundred dollars. Im very happy . Thanks
